Thank you Big Wells Elementary

Parents!!!

Big Wells Elementary held its Open House on August 24th.  Parents made this parental involvement activity a great success!  Parents met with their child’s teachers and the new campus principal, Ms. Sofia Morones.

Ms. Morones announced the new school activities planned for the year:  attendance incentives, parental involvement activities and the continued Big Wells Elementary Bulldog PRIDE!!!  Parents were provided information on our Title I Program opportunities.

Parents also had an opportunity to select their new PTO officers.  The following parents were selected to represent our parent/teacher organization:  PTO President:  Peggy Montes and Secretary Elvira Martinez.  We greatly appreciate our parents support and time spent on our students and school.

A special thanks is extended to Mrs. Debbie Deleon for participating in our teacher in-service.  Mrs. Deleon shared ideas on how teachers can better involve our parents in the school process.  Both teachers and parents brainstormed ideas and created a yearly parental involvement activity calendar.

Big Wells Elementary staff is very appreciative of all our parental support and the first week of school started off with great success!  Parental involvement and school dedication is the key to student success!

Once again, we thank our parents for a great first week of school!  Big Wells Elementary had 100% attendance the first week of school!  PARENTS do make a difference!

Thank you!
